Food

Are you able to accommodate food allergens or dietary restrictions? 

Yes! We have great menu options for meat-lovers and vegans. We also cover dietary needs like gluten-free, dairy-free and nut-free. We list common allergens and dietary information in the online menu descriptions. Please know that we do operate in a shared kitchen facility that is not nut-free.

How much food comes in a catering tray?

All of our trays are designed to feed 10-12 people unless otherwise stated. Two empanadas replace a sandwich. We are happy to make recommendations on food portions and budgeting.

Ordering

What are your hours of operation?

Our office hours are from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday thru Friday. Our typical catering hours are Monday through Friday 9:00 am to 7:30pm and on the weekends as requested.

What’s the latest that I can place my order?

We accept orders on 48-hours-notice. However, we encourage customers to book their catering as early as possible. We want to be sure to we reserve a delivery time slot for your order.  We understand if the order needs to be amended as the date approaches. On occasion, we are able to accept orders on 24- hour notice.

What’s the best way to place an order?

The most efficient way to place an order is through our online ordering system.  We accept catering request over the phone and by email but ask for your patience in responding to requests.

What’s the minimum order that I can place?

We have a $150 minimum for orders placed Monday through Friday. We have a $250 order minimum, on Friday evenings after 6:30 and on the weekends. Both minimums include the delivery fee but they do not include taxes. On occasion, we are able to make exceptions.

Can you cater for large groups or conferences?

Yes, we can accommodate groups of 12 to of 1,000 people.

Can I set up repeat orders for a reoccurring event?

We are more than happy to help you with menu planning for reoccurring events. Our online ordering system also allows you to save previously placed orders and duplicate them for future dates.

What types of payment do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards. We are also able to accommodate special payment processes for non-profits, institutions and companies. This includes ACH transfers and checks.  Just email forms and instructions to catering@freshfoodgeneration.com.  Most non-profits are not required to pay meals tax. If this applies to your non-profit, we request that you submit State Tax Exempt Forms (ST-2 and ST-5). Unfortunately, we cannot accept a 501c3 federal determination letter for state tax meals tax.

Do you provide donations or discounts?

We are occasionally able to provide donations and discounts to non-profits serving low-income neighborhoods. “Doing good” is at the core of our business model and social mission. We commit much of our available resources to our community café at our health center, food education and providing quality jobs. Because of this, we are not able to meet all requests for discounts or donations.

What is the Cancellation Policy?

We can accommodate cancellations with more than 48 hours-notice. If it’s a large order, we may provide you with a different cancellation policy. If you have to cancel an order scheduled for delivery within a 48-hour window, we will try to issue a partial or full refund.  For wraps and appetizer platters (cheese, crudité and roasted veg) we are not able to provide a refund. For orders larger than $500, you will be responsible for up to 60% of the bill.

 

DELIVERY & PAYMENT

Do you deliver? What’s the delivery fee and process?

Deliveries range from $10 to $20 depending on the location. To make the delivery process as smooth as possible, double check your order sheet and be sure to provide an onsite contact name and delivery instructions.  We love the details! Let us know if there is a loading dock, special door, stairs or recommended parking.

How is the food set-up? Are napkins, plates, forks and serving utensils included?

Your delivery driver will set up the food buffet style. We provide food labels with main ingredient and allergen information. Your order includes napkins, plates, forks and serving utensils. Please schedule delivery 15 to 20 minutes before guests are scheduled to eat.

Do you provide event service? Can I rent the truck? 

On occasion, we provide catering event service including buffet line service, passed appetizers and chafing dish set up and break down. We will work with you to cost out service.

 Please contact us if you are interested in renting the truck. In most cases, we have a $1,500 minimum for the truck. Please contact us directly if you are interested in truck or event service.
